Volotea, one of Europe's fastest-growing independent airlines, and Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M), world-leading multi-product MRO (Maintenance Repair & Overhaul) providers announce they have signed a long-term maintenance agreement. The partnership, which has been in effect since October 2022 and spans six years, was formalized during the 2023 Paris Air Show.

Volotea and AFI KLM E&M sign a long term maintenance agreement

The partnership, which spans over a period of six years, will account for 65% of the base maintenance services for the airline, making Air France Industries KLM Engineering & Maintenance (AFI KLM E&M) the largest maintenance partner of Volotea.
Under the terms of this agreement, AFI KLM E&M will provide extensive base maintenance services, accounting for 65% of Volotea's base maintenance needs. This ensures a stable and reliable maintenance solution for the airline’s fleet, upholding the highest standards of safety, efficiency, and reliability.

Volotea was founded in 2011 by Carlos Muñoz and Lázaro Ros, also previously founders of Vueling. It is one of the fastest-growing independent airlines in Europe in the last decade, increasing its fleet, routes served, and seats offered year-on-year.
